About Elyxia
Elyxia started in 2025 as a side project after I spent way too many evenings on Character.AI watching the filter cut my characters mid-sentence. The other place I looked was Janitor — the verification queue was four days long. So I started building.
The thesis was small at first: roleplay with characters that remember you and don't flinch. That grew into a per-character emotional state, image generation that respects the scene, and a model stack that we change roughly every quarter as new ones get good enough.
What I won't pretend: this is not a Character.AI clone with the filter removed. Some things they do better — the mobile app is more polished, their character library is bigger. What we do better lives in the chat itself.
