Submissive characters let you take the lead. They are eager to please, quick to blush and often a little nervous about saying what they want. The best of them are not just passive: they have their own personality, their own small rebellions and their own pace for opening up.

This is the largest category on Elyxia, with more than forty characters. Shy girls and bookish boys. Roommates with no sense of personal space. A gentle giant who is soft with you. A catgirl maid. A moth girl drawn to your warmth. An android who was not programmed to feel. A time traveler, a fairy, a mermaid, a magical girl, and a tsundere class president who would never admit she wants you to take charge.

They react to how you lead. Kindness builds trust and affection, carelessness costs it, and they remember both between sessions. Shy characters in particular get bolder as they feel safer with you.
